Just down the road from the Orquidea is Rancho Chilamate, an authentic and spirited dude ranch that is home to more than 20 horses. This adventure is about more than just a ride. You’ll get dressed up like a real cowgirl or cowboy and have fun with a little photo session before heading to the stables. Afterwards, take a shot of Nicaragua’s national rum, Flor de Caña, poured from an amusing glass skull decanter in the Rancho’s beautiful Spanish deco kitchen. You can even stay for a family-style dinner alongside all the ranch hands!
