One of the very best advantages of our location is our immersion in nature. Nestled into the jungle forest, we commonly see howler monkeys hanging out in our trees and munching on jocobo fruits. If youโre a bird enthusiast, get ready to spot a great variety of local species, including urracas (white-throated blue jay), tropical orioles, great black hawks, cranes, querques (red-billed eagles), chocoyos (parakeets), and rare yellow-naped parrots. You may even spot the guardabarranco, also known locally as the mot mot, which is the national bird of Nicaragua.
Gaze out to the horizon for your chance to view migrating whales from your porch, or take a walk on the wild side by hiking one of the many surrounding nature trails. Last but definitely not least, you may witness some of the most beautiful sunsets of your life – and be sure to keep an eye out for the elusive green flash!
